Cu sau fără voia lor, găzduiesc două dintre cele mai populare festivaluri din România: Untold și SummerWell.În Paris avem Jocurile Olimpice.La Viena tocmai s-a anulat seria de concerte ale lui Taylor Swift.Adele își continuă concertele în Munchen. Mai e puțin și începe toamna, când se reiau conferințele, congresele, târgurile și expozițiile, galele. Vom avea în București și Festivalul Național de Teatru. When #ISO20121 comes to town:"The Paris Olympics are the largest sports event ever to replace single-use beverage cups with refillable alternatives [made in France, btw], and advocates hope it will send a clear message to event organizers and beverage brands that reuse is possible on a large scale." 👏👏🗓️In early July, 💯 athlets and sports organizations issued an open letter asking major sponsors (CocaCola and Pepsi) to adopt reusables for all. "Keep the torch lit for reuse following the Olympics by committing to: 👉 Make reuse an option for all your customers around the world and dramatically increase reusable packaging by 2030.👉 Make future Olympics and other sporting events run on reuse rather than single-use.👉 Advocate for the inclusion of legally binding targets and other mechanisms to increase reusable packaging in national legislation and in the United Nations plastics treaty. I am catching up with the news about carbon markets, and my conclusion is that #datamatters, and quick wins tend to be expensive. Too many companies have seen carbon credits as a nice and fast way out instead of putting a decent effort into #impactmanagement, GHG accounting and actual decarbonisation. The reason could be either a misunderstanding of the impact the #sustainabilityreporting and #greenwashing #legislation would have, or a lack of technical knowledge aka #competence. Or a combination of more factors. Commissioned by #SBTi, Evidensia just finished a deep literature review to understand how effective is #carbonoffsetting as an alternative to direct emissions abatement. Here's the result: "The research team’s search yielded 10,267 articles. These were screened for relevance following the PICO (Population-Intervention-Comparison-Outcome) framework for exclusion / inclusion that is the practice in systematic reviews. This resulted in 489 articles that were identified for full text review. From this sample, only five papers strictly met all inclusion criteria and one additional paper provided comparable data to assess the effectiveness of carbon credits in comparison to other emission abatement strategies by the same company/group of companies.A systematic review of results cannot be conducted on such a small sample of papers as it would not produce a strong synthesis basis to draw robust conclusions."
